As a tenant you are responsible to your staff for having an asbestos survey and a maintenance plan that your staff are aware of and can show to any tradespeople that visit your property. If you do not have one, you need to obtain one.
As a Landlord you will need to prove there is no asbestos or that it has been safely removed. If there is asbestos, you will need to provide a register of where it is and that it is not in a dangerous state.
Any leasing transaction will require an asbestos survey and if works are proposed, you will need a more extensive and intrusive survey to prove there is no risk.
